California Supreme Court Upholds Ban on Same-Sex Marriage

Tomorrow (1pm EST) the California Supreme Court will announce their ruling on Prop 8. Their decision will not only effect the future of gay marriage, it will also determine if the 18,000 same-sex marriages in California last year will be annulled.
Day of Decision has compiled a list of nationwide rallies/celebrations in response to the decision.
Comment (0)For us, the biggest issue is literally *how* will we get married. Same-sex marriage is not legal in New York, although beginning last May, NY will recognize marriages from states where it *is* legal. At the time of our engagement, gay marriage was only legal in California and Massachusetts. However soon after, Prop 8 passed in CA and MA was not an option because at least one of us would have to be a resident. read more »
