When we first chose October 10th as our wedding date, we checked the Farmers’ Almanac to see what time the sun sets that day. You can also look up the weather history for your location but you have to do a search for each year individually which is a huge pain.
I just tried out this Wedding Planner on weather.com. I plugged in our date and got this report based on the last 30 years of weather!

All the magazines and websites I’ve read all say to tackle the budget first… but it didn’t seem like any fun so I put it off for awhile. Bad idea.
Building our budget was about 10x harder than I thought it would be, but its probably the most important step in planning, which of course led to the guest list because how can you create a budget if you don’t know how big (or small) your wedding will be. read more »
