When we first chose October 10th as our wedding date, we checked the Farmers’ Almanac to see what time the sun sets that day. You can also look up the weather history for your location but you have to do a search for each year individually which is a huge pain.

I  just tried out this Wedding Planner on weather.com. I plugged in our date and got this report based on the last 30 years of weather!

Another major item has been checked off our list! After many months of research, we’ve decided to have Irene’s suit custom made by Mr. Ned, a custom tailor in our neighborhood since 1965. We discovered him via my co-worker Chris at Behavior (like how I snuck Behavior in?) who had two gorgeous suits made there.

Anyone who has bought a men’s style suit for a woman knows it ain’t easy. The shoulders are way too broad, and the hips and seat are always too snug. Irene has worn suits in the past, and while she looked great, the tailoring cost as much as the suit. Plus, once you find one that fits you’re pretty limited in styles, fabrics, etc which is not something we’re willing to compromise for our wedding day.
